The first thing you must acknowledge is that stress is just stress. The only way to have no stress in life is to die, and we all do not want to deal with that option right now. Therefore, the "positive" or "negative" designation must come from our own interpretation of the event that caused this stress. When an event that causes you stress takes place, ask yourself "Why is this upsetting me?" Then decide what you are going to do differently so that it will not upset you next time. If you don't decide right away, you will forget about it and it will happen again. If you don't want the same result, make a change. Use the event as though it was something that you needed in your life so that you can grow to meet a challenge that you will face at a future date.
