Winter Melting Into Spring
A cozy corner sheds its winter coat and blooms in spring
When winter sheds its heavy coat, and spring begins to burst forth, I get the itch to redesign. A quick and simple way to get started is with a cozy little reading nook in a corner. During the winter months, red and cream pillows warmed up the space, and Dept. 56 Snow Village pieces added charm to the dresser. Gold framed prints of ice skaters are a reminder of favorite winter activities and memories.
Spring Bursts Forth
With the sound of birds chirping outside the window, and the smell of flowers in the air, the winter decor needs some freshening. All it takes is a few minutes to swap out the pillows, and pictures, and add a vase of fresh flowers to complete the fresh springtime look. Similarly sized butterfly prints fit nicely on the same hooks. Brightly colored flowers look right at home alongside the spring-themed pillow with an embroidered bird.
Get inspired to bring a breath of fresh air to your decor as we head into a beautiful and glorious time of year.
