Luxury Homes in Prince William County VA
The good news is that many Prince William County Foreclosures are in good shape.  Admittedly there are some that will send you running out the door, however then there are those that make you go WOW.

Over the last 12-18 months many lenders due basic rennovations on their foreclosures before they go on the market.  If it is a Fannie Mae property it will have fresh paint, new carpet and often new appliances as well.  This makes the homes eligible for VA and FHA financing which is a good for buyers who don't have a significant downpayment.

A Prince William County buyers can find foreclosures in any price range including the upper brackets. If you are looking for a home on over an acre in an upscale community, if you want a home that backs to a golf course or a property with a waterview with a little patience you may be able to find it.

Homes that sold for over a million three years ago are now available for a fraction of the cost.  If a foreclosure is in good condition and priced right you can expect multiple buyers are thinking the same thing you are.  It's a great deal.  Recently my buyers made an offer on a foreclosure that ended up with 20 offers and sold for 25K over list price

Cindy - I know most home buyers assume bank owned homes will need a ton of work, but as you point out that's not always the case.

Foreclosures aren't certainly not the dumps they used to be.  Between cash for keys incentives and banks wanting to maximize on good property condition (doing paint, carpet and repairs) there are some really great ones out there.

I'm seeing fewer foreclosures requiring a contractor and more that are move-in ready.
