A new HOA of sorts has been congregating in the Colorado Springs’ Rockrimmon neighborhood.

 

On the agenda seemed to be what’s for dinner? Tired of the same old, same old, they sent their youngest down the street to see if dinner was better on the other side.

 

Nope. Just the same.

Kim- oh how cute!  When we were living in Leesburg VA we were lucky enough to have deer in the area behind our house.  The first time I saw them I  must have watched them for 40 minutes.

Kim - How adorable!  My girlfriend lives on the deer trail near us.  The deer have a nice feast on their tulips each spring.  The deer just eat the heads off the tulips and leave the rest of the plant!

These pictures are great!   My friend in Rockrimmon likes to put out bread for them.  

I've decided that deer that can't be hunted are sort of like squirrels.  They are cute.  They get to where they are not very scared of people.  Yet, they can also be hard on the garden.   But then again, maybe that is why some plants are labeled as being deer proof. 

Rockrimmon is a GREAT neighborhood.

Hey Kathy! Leesburg must have been a beautiful area. The deer in this area of town travel in pretty big herds which still surprises me, you have to be really careful driving.

Too funny Sally. My client who lives in this area said they eat everything, even the "deer proof" plants like marigolds. These guys were rooting way down amongst those prickly junipers!

Sondra, I'll bet they consider her house the 5 star restaurant of the neighborhood :) I got within a few feet of the young one, didn't seem to scare him, he just walked on by.
