What can you do to your front landscaping to add that curb appeal?

Spring has Sprung! What can you do to your front landscaping to add that curb appeal? Whether your home is on the market or not, the curb appeal of your home makes the first impression!

First of all, clean out those planter beds. Pull out all those weeds, put down weed block and replace that old mulch. Clean and reposition any stones or bricks that border your beds. Adding stones or bricks around the beds keeps the mulch in and makes for a clean, well groomed yard.

Pick plants and flowers that will add color  to your landscaping. Be sure to check how large the plant will grow, you don’t want it to get too large and take over the area. Also, be sure to check the amount of sunlight it needs and plant according to your yard and location.

Don’t forget to brighten up your mail box with some colorful flowers or even a climbing plant such as a clematis or a honeysuckle!

If you do not have a lot of room to work with, you can add a few potted plants to add color to yard. You can also add a few potted plants or hanging plants to brighten up your front porch.

You can go to any local nursery or landscaping store to get ideas and advice on what to plant in your yard. Another great place to get ideas is the Cape Fear Botanical Garden at 536 Eastern Blvd in Fayetteville!

Happy Gardening!

Tonya,

Enhancing the color landscaping in front is always a smart idea for a homeowner.  I often suggest potted plants if they wish to take these plants with them to the next home.

Hi
Tonya, Good advice, I can't wait for some warmer weather so that I can spruce up my flower beds too. It just makes you feel good to walk up the entry and see flowers and color.
