Throwback Thursday: Frank Sinatra in Palm Springs

Frank Sinatra left his imprint on the Palm Springs area... and I mean more than just Frank Sinatra Drive.  Frank and his pals played golf and played all kinds of things here in the valley.  Oh, to be around at some of those cocktail parties!

Ava Gardner may have broke his heart, but Barbara Marx Sinatra, his last wife... made a home for him at Tamarisk Country Club.  You can catch a glimpse of his compoud as you drive by.

Years ago, at Lord Fletcher's on Hwy 111 in Rancho Mirage, they had a very entertaining bartender who would share Frank Sinatra stories with patrons.  He had worked there during the Sinatra days and had also poured drinks at some of those private cocktail parties.  Very cool!
