The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival is quickly approaching. This years marks the 31st Annual Dogwood Festival, so make sure to mark your calendars for April 26-28, 2013. The Dogwood festival is one of the main attractions for Fayetteville and has a nice economic impact on the community. This three day event has been known to bring over 200,000 people and there is “something for everyone” during these three days. One of the best parts about this great event...the admission is free!

The Fayetteville Dogwood Festival was “done to entertain, promote new business, enhance a positive community image, attract visitors, share cultural and recreational opportunities of our community, encourage unity through the celebration of our diversity, promote the education of our rich history and foster civic pride”. This is such an amazing non-profit organization and a tradition that will keep growing and continue to get better and better every year. Thank you to our past city leaders who had a vision to help improve the image of Fayetteville, NC.

This is such a great way to spend the day or weekend walking through the downtown streets. You will get a chance to visit local shops, all the arts and craft vendors, listen to live entertainment on two different stages, let the kids enjoy ride and eat some great food. There are over 30 events going on throughout the weekend. Friday night, country singer Joe Diffie will be coming on the Bud Light stage at 9pm and the night will end with a nice firework display.

Fayetteville, NC has so much to offer the community. During the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival, there are 13 sanctioned events going on starting on April 10.  The Fayetteville Beautiful City Wide clean up, YMCA Heroes Run, and the Fayetteville Cumberland Crimestopper Barbecue are just a few of the great events planned throughout this time. There are activities to learn CPR, stroll through the farmers market and get fresh produce and so much more. There really is something for everyone to include comedy, jazz music and belly dancing.

Let’s all come together these three day for the Fayetteville Dogwood Festival and see all the wonderful things Fayetteville, NC has to offer. Plus if you're in town want to make Fayetteville, NC your home, I’m here to help. I’m just a phone call away 910-583-3817 or you can visit my website.

Katrina, gorgeous flowering trees are a great excuse for a festival!  Here in DC, everyone's in a panic because the trees are going to bloom later than expected, and after the festival!  Oops!  Hope you guys have better luck.
