Deerfield Township Hosts Easter Egg Hunt at Cottell Park March 30 2013
Mark your calendars for the annual Deerfield Township Easter Egg Hunt! With thousands of plastic eggs to find, and two scheduled sessions at Cottell Park (southeast corner of Irwin-Simpson & Snider Rds), your kids will have fun that Saturday morning!
And Deerfield Township is avoiding the melee approach, with an Egg Patch section for the toddlers and the preschoolers not ready to for the full on chaos of the main Egg Hunt patch. The Egg Patch section will be more low key and available starting at 9:30 a.m. for the 1st session and 11 a.m. for the 2nd session. Parents and kids will be allowed into the Egg Patch in groups of 4-5.
The main Egg Hunt will have two age groups: 4-6 & 7-11. The kids will be lined up behind the line and then released for the egg hunting frenzy! The plastic eggs get traded in for candy and the eggs come back for next year's event! Times for the main Egg Hunts are 10 a.m. & 11:30 a.m.
Besides the egg hunts, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance, Skidaddles AnyTime KidCare is providing free face painting, and there will also be booths and prize giveaways at the event.
Recommendation is for the first session attendees to take care of these non-egg hunting activities starting a 9 a.m. so parking can be cleared for the second session attendees.
A special thank you to Origins Church for helping make the event possible!
So good luck finding those eggs!
