Top 10 things Sellers Need from their REALTOR

 

  1. Be a REALTOR. Not every Real Estate licensee is a REALTOR. REALTORS subscribe to the code of ethics of the National Association of REALTORS. They invest in their business and their education. Many have earned NAR designations that help them advance their knowledge of the industry to betters serve their clients.

  2. Have Experience. Your home is one of the most valuable assets you will have in your lifetime. Make sure the REALTOR representing you has been listing and selling real estate long enough to make you feel comfortable with their skills.

  3. Understand your needs. Every Clients needs are different. Explain what you expect from your REALTOR during the process as well as your relocaton plans for after your sale. Make sure he/she understands your needs and your expectations.

  4. Professionalism. You deserve to have the REALTOR and their Ageny represent you with integrity and respect in all aspects of the process to prospective buyers, other REALTORS and other professionals.

  5. Good Communicator.It is critical that the lines of communication are open between you and your REALTOR. Decide how you want to communicate. Do you prefer Phone, email, txt, in person? And when? After every showing or only when there is something to take action on?

  6. Trust. You have to trust the REALTOR and Agency that you have working for you. You have to believe they that will do everything possible to sell your home and have your interest first and foremost.

  7. Good Negotiator. Your REALTOR will advice you during the process. One of the most important pieces of advice will be to discuss the offer from the buyer. Price, terms, inclusions and exclusion are all areas of negotiation you will need help with.

  8. Knowledge of the Market. Having a clear understanding of what is happening in your Marketarea is critical to pricing the property correctly, knowing how to negotiate based on the current market conditions.

  9. Marketing Expert. Not every Real Estate company and REALTORS are created equal. Your marketing plan must expose your house to all the places the buyers are looking in with quality photos, virtual tours, well written descriptions and attractive printed pieces.

  10. Respected Professional. It is critical that your REALTOR is respected by other REALTORS, Attorney's, Lenders, home inspectors and contractors as a knowledgeble and trusted professional.
