What’s your favorite Chinese place? My family and I have always agreed on this answer. Shangri-La, aptly named, truly is Briargate's best Chinese restaurant. Shangri-La’s delectable menu and impeccable service has kept us coming back for close to a decade.

 We’re greeted at the front doors as if we were Norm. Friendly and eager to make sure our dining experience meets our expectations, they always exceed them.

 

Our predictability is embarrassingly so. The owners and staff know both my husband’s and I’s drink orders and usually serve our favorite crab wontons or pot stickers within minutes of us being seated. Ample portions perfect for sharing, hot fresh entrees and lots of green tea with delicious almond cookies to top off our tummies!

 

Briargate residents are like townies here. Even when I just stop in to grab a take-out order I see a familiar face.

Kim, as you can imagine, I love Chinese food-where else would I go every Christmas? Sounds like Shangri-La is a great one and those crab wontons-yummy!

Joanna, do you have a favorite in your area? We are often there over the holidays as well! They have a fat Budha statue decorated for whatever holiday is coming up - I need to take a pic of him. He had bunny ears on last time.

Good morning, President Maureen:) Yes, we appreciate it. Even when we lived in San Francisco's Marin county we were hard pressed to locate a good one within a 20 minute drive. The city had a fantastic selection, of course, but not convenient.
