Taking a Tax Break with Maroon 5

Last night Adam Levine and his band Maroon 5 were in Tulsa for a concert. What a fabulous concert it was. At times I couldn’t tell if I was hearing young girl’s squealing or it was Adam’s falsetto. I took my staff and three of their children who were 7, 9, and 12 years old to the festivities.  Logan and Ashton were going to their first concert and I’ve never seen such wide eyed expressions.  We had dinner at Baxtor’s before the concert and were constantly amazed at how much downtown Tulsa has been transformed. Bars, restaurants, condos, small local retailers with homemade items were everywhere. Areas of downtown are now known as the Blue Dome District and East End. We even have a small bowling alley known as “The Dust Bowl” (How clever for Oklahoma) Turn of the last century buildings transformed into artist studio’s have just made this the happening place to be. The new BOK Center, where the 18,000 people would see the concert and a new baseball stadium built for the minor league Tulsa Drillers started this transition.

What a great “tax deductible” time we all had!!

Bill this sounds like the ultimate evening and a clever deduction, as well.

Hi Sharon,  you can do the samething with clients. Instead of the $25 gift limit take them to dinner and a concert.  If that  costs you $375 you can write off 50% or $187.50 which is a lot better than $25 and a whole lot more fun!!
