Hiring a Realtor-Its your Choice!
Three major things to look for when hiring a Realtor:
1)Hire someone who works full time as a Realtor, part-time Realtors have a hard time Getting back with you when you need them.
2)Hire someone who is up to date on whats going on in the Mortgage market as well as houseing prices & whats out there at the moment.
3)As a Seller: Make sure you dont let the commission rates fool you. Some Realtors cut commissions which could acctually hurt you as a seller...if you want a cheaper commission rate talk to your Realtor about offering a selling bonus with a time frame attached. Realtors fight for the listings that offer the best paydays. And remember dont let Assist-to-sell fool you either. You can stick your own sign in the yard, run an ad in the paper, and put your house on a generic website for WAY less than $2995.
As a Buyer: Look for a Realtor who isnt just out to make a big buck fast, make sure he/she knows exactly what your looking for & what your mortgage qualifys you for so that there are no dissapointments or time wasted.
