Miss Maggie May is our rescue Golden Retreiver from the Loveland praireland of Colorado. When my husband and our two young children went to pick her up in Golden, CO from GRR (Golden Retriever Rescue), they said a family had to give her up because she strayed. Lucky us.

She’s a wonderful first dog for my children (now 14 and 16). Always eager for a belly rub, Maggie has been a beautiful blessing to our family.

Don’t let that face fool you, she knows her color wheel and can often be spotted in my home office doing her fair share to nose out just which color swatches I need. Miss Maggie is my go-to canine color consultant any day of the week. Of course, she’s a little partial to red. :)

Miss Maggie May is a wonderful assistant to have. I know she can sniff out the right colors for any room-and I bet you always find her relaxing on a white sofa!!! Beautiful puppy-rescues are the best!

Ha! Yes, she likes to be where we are and every once in awhile hops up, but her hips keep her from doing that as much as she'd like! Do you have a rescue pup, Joanna?

We've had her 7 years in May. The vet thought she was 2 or 3 yrs old then (they didn't have any birth info on her). She is more white around her muzzle now, but she has always been a zen dog. :)

Thanks, Sondra. She really is a great therapy dog for us all - my daughter had a major surgery with a 3 month recovery at home in a hospital bed and she wouldn't sleep anywhere else.

Kim, Maggie May must be a great companion for all of your family. Retrievers are great animals and pets. Obviously a great help around the office choosing colors as well.

Miss Maggie looks like a loyal assistant, Kim! I have a Maggie too -- also a rescue -- and she helps me by keeping me company, and is happy under my desk whenever I'm in the office. (She's mostly border collie with some Golden mixed in there, too)

She is, John. I love the breed, and of course, we absolutely LOVE her.

Oh Maureen, she's beautiful!! What a pretty girl...so glad you have her. I grew up with a Border Collie on the farm - great breed as well. Your Maggie must follow you everywhere:)
