12 Things To Put in a Vase or Glass Jar

If you have a large clear glass jar or vase, you can fill it with almost any small collection for an instant addition to your decor. In a matter of minutes, you can go from a fun theme to a more elegant look. Any clear vase will do, even colored ones look nice with vase filler. Many craft or department stores sell vase filler, but you can find a lot of interesting things around your home that will reflect your personality or interests.

Here is a short list of 12 things to put in a vase or glass jar to get you started:

  1. Corks
  2. Rocks
  3. Buttons
  4. Pine cones
  5. Balls of yarn or twine
  6. Cranberries
  7. Lemons or limes
  8. Chess pieces, dice, poker chips
  9. Golf balls
  10. Shells or coral
  11. Billiards balls
  12. Plastic Easter eggs

For these examples, I used a clear glass vase 6 1/2 inches in diameter and 8 inches tall.
