With today's start of the "Bay Bridge Series," it got me thinking how news worthy all of our Bay Area bridges are lately.
While the Iconic Golden Gate celebrates a 75 year anniversary, and just this week retired all toll takers for electronic toll collection
moving us that much further into the automated future, the Bay Bridge is now decked out with a twinkling led art installation which you can see here: http://thebaylights.org/
I've yet to take the Friday night Blue and Gold cruise to get a good look, but it's on my list.
And then there is the eastern span of the Bay Bridge, due to open in in just 158 days, with an opening event scheduled for September 2nd.
Of course we're always celebrating something in San Francisco, the Port is celebrating 150 years of operation with events kicking off in April.
