Easter Egg Hunts in Olympia Area for 2013 - Not Just For Kids!

Easter egg hunts in Olympia

The Olympia area is bunny hopping with Easter Egg Hunts - and they're not just for kids......they're not even just for people!

Adults get in on the fun with an Adult Flashlight Egg Scramble - it's tonight, Friday, March 29, 2013 at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey (8345 Steilacoom Rd SE).. Gates open at 8 PM and the scramble begins at 9 PM - don't forget your flashlight!

Children can hunt for lots of eggs and find candy-filled ones or win prizes at several local Olympia area Easter Egg Hunts this weekend.  Some of the favorites our family has attended in past years are:

O Bee Credit Union's Egg Dash, Saturday, March 30th at 11 AM at the Dream Team Park, 425 Marvin Rd SE, Lacey.  This one if for kids from age 2-10.

Also Saturday, March 30th is the annual Egg Hunt at Lattin's Farm - The hunt begins at 1:00 (divided into different areas of eggs for different age groups), but parking is limited so get there early!  Lattins will also delight kids and grownups with their animals, not to mention the yummy apple cider and fritters!  Lattins is at 9402 Rich Rd, Olympia.

Then on Easter Sunday, March 31st, the Olympia Eagles put on their annual egg hunt at Priest Point Park (222 East Bay Dr, Olympia).  This hunt has two segments - the first at noon is for children with special needs.  Then at 2:00 all kids can hunt for as many eggs as they can stuff in their baskets - in areas divided by age group.

And like I said - it's not just humans that get in on the Easter fun in Olympia.  The Dog Gone Easter Egg Hunt will be Saturday, March 30th from 10-3.  There will be 2 hunts for the dogs and one for kids, plus agility demos, best trick contest and lots more!  This event will be at the Regional Athletic Complex in Lacey (see address above).  There is a $3 donation requested per adult (kids 12 and under are free) and all the proceeds will go to Concern for Animals, Feline Friends, and Old Dog Haven.

Our weather forecast sounds like we are going to have the perfect weather to do some egg hunting this weekend - so don't miss these Olympia area Easter Egg Hunts!!

And Happy Easter!!
