Welcome to the ActiveRain page of The Winter Group and Stefan Winter, I will use this first blog post as an introduction to both myself and my real estate team specializing in the Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Centerville, Kettering and Oakwood area.
My name is Stefan Winter, I was born and raised in Germany moving to America in 1996. Coming from a small town in Germany to the suburbs of Chicago was quite a change; however I completed middle school, high school and moved to Dayton Ohio to attend the University of Dayton. In 2008 I made the moved to Las Vegas and started working for one of the most luxurious and customer service oriented resort companies in the world, Wynn Resorts. In my first year I received four promotions and was working my way up in the company, learning more about customer service, accountability and structure than I had in three years of college.
It was in December 2009 when I decided to get my first real estate license in Nevada. The two weeks of classes seemed easy; I passed my National Exam the first try and the State exam on the second, which was all I needed to start in the business. I was still working full time at Wynn Resorts, when I started to work with Coldwell Banker, it was not long before I had my first lead and was on my way to my first sale. Talking to fellow agents at the office, listening to clients and going to classes I quickly saw a need to change the business and built a brand based on not just “getting the deal done”, but educating the client, keeping them updated throughout the sales or buying process and just providing a customer centric experience unheard of in the industry. That was all it took for me to start the first version of The Winter Group.
In 2010 I learned that a prominent casino owner’s house has been offered for sale by two different agents over the past year and never sold, having never worked in luxury real estate before I knew my only way in would be to sell my brand, not just me. It worked and I got a five month listing contract, long story short I gave weekly updates, keep the owners assistant in the loop how many times the property was shown, how much internet activity there was and with proper pricing we got the property sold in two month.
In 2012, I decided to close my real estate business and leave the casino/resort industry to figure out how to really expand my vision of the real estate industry, and that is what brings me back to Dayton Ohio. I have started my new Winter Group under Keller Williams, specializing in the East Dayton area of Beavercreek, Bellbrook, Centerville, Kettering and Oakwood.
