Hi Debbie -- defintely a post to bookmark! Great questions/answers and all in one place - nice job!
Kristin - Thx so much, and same to you. Yes, dark hardwood is harder to keep clean and especially dark bamboo which tends to dent and scratch easily and the poly is water based so it doensn't last that long, doesn't hold up well to water, so be careful. Bona is prob. your best bet for cleaning product. But, even more important, try to make sure you remove your shoes. Also, felt pads on chairs, no rolling chairs.
Michael - Thx. I hope it comes in handy.

Thx Thomas and same to you. Hope your appt earlier went well.
Solid hardwood floors can be refinished, regardless of brand. Bruce makes both solid and engineered, so it depends what type you have. It's a bit harder to do (due to aluminum oxide finish(, but, yes, even Bruce prefnished solid can be sanded and refinished.
