This is according to the California Association of Realtor’s 2012 Home Buyer Survey, and is actually down from a previous survey. For those of us with lots of experience in the real estate industry, this is an indication that today's buyers are quick to take advantage of current home prices and low interest rates.

Buyers have also grown increasingly more thoughtful about their home purchase. While the "buying consideration period" has more than tripled since its lowest point of 3.8 weeks in 2006, buyers are also aware that it is a seller's market and if they wait too long, they may lose the chance of buying their dream home.
