How Can I Search for San Jose, Calif. Homes for Sale Long Distance?
Recently a relocation consumer asked about how to find a temporary rental home and later a home to buy in the San Jose, Calif. area of Silicon Valley.
She noted she'd be here for a week mid-summer, followed by a move-in date in September.
I've lived in different parts of the West Valley area of Silicon Valley (San Jose, Campbell, Cupertino, Santa Clara, Monte Sereno) and am happy to share my experience and explore options over the phone in preparation for the visit.
Here in San Jose, a lot of people choose neighborhoods based on budget, schools and commute times. If you don't need schools for children, you have a lot more affordable options for housing.
I can easily set up some automated searches for both rental homes and homes for sale, once I know a relocation client's budget and requirements. If you're considering apartments, I can provide a list of corporate apartments that do shorter lease terms. As they are larger complexes, you can easily view some at the first exploratory visit and likely even set up a lease in advance for the actual move.
However, all potential landlords will be looking at job history, so be prepared to bring your credit report, a recommendation from your current landlord and a copy of the job offer letter.
