Do you or does your brokerage practice Appointed Agency? I am located in Storm Lake IA, nw corner of Iowa, and our brokerage does practice Appointed Agency. I would like to hear from other agents and brokers who use this type of representation. How do you practice appointed agency, how do you explain to a client the advantages of this agency over consensual dual agency. As the broker how do you work with your agents within this type of agency, for example how do you determine who the appointed agent is for each side of the transaction?
I would like to go to all Appointed Agency because I believe it is by far what is best for our buyers and sellers. But I want to ensure it is also what is best for the agents in the office, so I thought of having a rotating appointed agent.
