As a native of Stamford CT 06902, I am so very proud of the Ferguson Library and the work that they do in our community. I grew up in the library and as a teenager even worked there. This week the Ferguson Library, at 96 Broad Street in the 3rd floor auditorium, is offering our town a FREE book giveaway through the Reading is Fundamental program. The event is scheduled for this Saturday on April 6th between 2:00pm - 4:00pm for Stamford students in grades kindergarten through grade 5.
There will also be a featured storyteller at 2:15pm - Laconia Therrio.
In addition to the featured storyteller, other activities include:
- - Interactive story times with special guest readers
- - Literary activities
- - Reading tips for parents
- - Refreshments for all attendees
and... a free book as a gift for each child to take home.
For more information contact 203-965-7733 or email info@spefct.org
Sponsored by the Ferguson Library, Pitney Bowes, Target, Boehm Family Foundation and the Stamford Public Education Foundation.
