Mixed Messages with Feng Shui Design by Laura Cerrano Feng Shui Expert
Large corporations from the United States are choosing to integrate Feng Shui into their architectural design plans which shows amazing progress for this practice. Something to keep in mind tho, depending on the projects where Feng Shui is being implemented seems to be sending mixed messages about the true essence of this lifestyle.
Feng Shui is to enhance one's physical, mental, spiritual and emotional well being. If you only address one aspect of Feng Shui out of the four, that will be the only amount of transformation you receive and experience.
Here is a fast example:
There are particular fast food franchises that are implementing Feng Shui into their architectural design plans. Sources from well respected News papers suggest these franchises are focused on creating an atmosphere that is more welcoming to guests so they choose to stay longer. At the same time, because the world's awareness of nutrition is shifting, these fast food franchises wish to mirror that new found knowledge with the presentation of a healthier looking designed building. The goal is to increase revenues which is being met with success. So you may ask, what's the mixed message?
The product of food has not changed to mirror the exterior/interior representation of a healthier physical appearance with the building's energy. You enter the facility feeling good, feeling and thinking healthy but in reality once you ingest those particular food products, it dumbs down your health on all four levels. This meaning your mental, physical, spiritual and emotional well being due to the amount of processed chemicals combined with those food products (GMO's). So I ask, does it make sense to create an environment that suggests a healthily presentation of design when that location does not follow though with the action of providing healthy meals? A modern day translation with one of the Feng Shui principles is,"walk the walk, talk the talk."
Or is it the responsibility of the consumer to understand the surface of that healthy design presentation does not match the quality of "clean" food in that location? hmmm.
It does take two to tango.
This is an example of Feng Shui being combined with projects that send mixed messages about the true essences of why one implements these principles into their life, home and or business. Please understand there is nothing wrong with the intention to utilize the teachings of Feng Shui as a means to increase your money for business reasons. But, be mindful a true representation of Feng Shui is being missed in translation if that is your only focus. In order to experience a full transformation of your life, you bring about change to your thoughts, actions and spoken word.
Feng Shui is another tool to help each person ascend to the next level of higher consciousness If you dumb yourself down on any of the four developmental levels, you pro long your progress and for some will they keep looping until new found awareness has been awakened within and action is taken.
