RETSO Refocus 2013 Gwinnett Civic Center
I just got back from attending RETSO Refocus at the Gwinnet Civic Center, and I have to share it was awesome on many different levels. First of all real estate it is not all about technology and gadgets - it is about running a successful business via a business plan and the process that implements a formula for success. Personally I think it was very reaffirming that the concept placed foreword was so encompassing - yet full of areas that we can constantly review, streamline, and readjust and fine tune our own business models. Face it, in real estate we are subject to so many variables. Real estate changes every day and we have to accommodate to the change in our business like a chameleon. The only constant we have in real estate is "Change!" Our business is a constant change of mortgage interest rates, new lender requirements, the type of inventory that is available, the number of agents we compete with, appraisals, and the ability of our buyer clients to obtain credit to complete the transaction. RETSO Refocus was very affirming that what occurs in our industry should not be taken personally, but rather current events are an opportunity to move forward by totally reevaluating our own business models and how we implement them. This review needs to be all encompassing. I found this to be a very positive exercise and reaffirming that I am doing all the right things.
Also, I must share that I was fortunate enough to sit at a table of some of Atlanta GA's finest Active Rainer's finest including Bob Stewart, Lane Bailey, Jordan Wheeler, Elva Branson-Lee, Linda Carrig and Charlie Ragonesi! This was another major bonus of meeting up with fellow Active Rainers - real estate networking! I love to chat with people I know so I can refer work to them! What an Active Rain power house!
