The simplest answer is: fun!
If you have not been to one of these events yet---or if you have not hosted one---it is really simple to do both.
For all of you ready to pounce on me and tell me how you would go if there was one near you, all I can say is that that excuse just won’t fly. If there is not one by you just create one yourself!
Honestly, I DO NOTHING (for all intents and purposes) other than email Kerrie and give her the when and where.
Rene Fabre and I just hosted our 4th, 14 Carrot Café breakfast meetup and it was fun as usual. Here is today’s crew of participants, minus Barbie VanHorn who had to leave before we really got started. As Barbie demonstrates, what your visit “looks like” is not nearly as important as being there in some fashion.

Jon Olsen, Rene Fabre, Dan Tabit, Kerrie Greenhalgh, Michelle Leslie, Paul McFadden, Me-myself & I, Kris Neese.
The only other thing I do is call the café and give them a heads up that we will be descending on them again and try to give them an expected number----although the number is not really important at all. I would love to have the problem of not having enough space for everyone.
For this investment of maybe 12.35 minutes of my time I get awarded 2000 points! Everyone that comes gets 1000 points. Add to this that your post announcing the event will likely be featured on top of your blogging points can make hosting an event a windfall---if you have ANY interest in points that is. This is a no brainer is it not?
Kerrie said we broke some sort of record as to numbers of meetups at this Spring event. I see no reason why we can’t double it next time!
