Their perdictions have been so wrong that no one believes them anymore it is laughable. What a waste of money. When the huricane is in the BOX we know 5 days later to be ready. When a city reports wind gust for the day then 250 miles away is where they need to get prepared. They have gone to naming any wind gust now to keep people interested in their perdictions.

Hi Charles!!!

While they have been wrong on the count and yes in most cases you may have 5 days notice, most folks do NOT prepare.  When the "H" word is spoken, shelves become empty in stores and often the ones that wait  until the last minute are still unprepared.  May be, just may be, someone will take the steps now to prepare.

How about you?  Do you have your disaster kit or move out kit ready?

In todays environment, you need to be ready for more things than just hurricanes.  A lot of these situations are man made caused.
