How do you think the candidates are representing their parties?

It is hard for me to judge how a candidate represents either party, since neither the democrats nor republicans seem to have any real focus anyhow.

Marvin- what a loaded question! Actually I've given this much thought this year more than ever and I'll just leave a blanket statement. It appears that the candidates are saying what they feel people need to hear while tearing their competition apart. Then... with their votes in hand each party attempts to create a unified front.

Somehow it works, but sheesh, it can appear so transparent at times.

It's a tough game they're playing. But, I don't see how either Democratic candidate is failing to represent the party. There are differences of opinion, but both seem to well represent the party's core tenets. Given McCain's liberal leanings, Republicans may not be as happy with their candidate, however.

I am intrigued with this election. I look forward to seeing what the next few months brings. Personally, I am proud of what the open dialog says about our nation. And even more personal -- go Obama! Yes We Can!
