looks like the big advantage on the exchange rate is gone. wonder if that means less of our northern friends buying up prime real estate here in the states?

It's always a good time to buy Real Estate anywhere right now even though the Canadian and the Aussie has slipped a bit. The Aussie and Canadian dollar is still strong and so what, it's where you want to be. Victoria is a beautiful place to be, I just don't know if I could be there in the winter....well perhaps YES.

David, as far as I know, we Canadians are still buying south of the border.  Money is very close to par with US.

Glenn, it is a good time to buy right now in Victoria.   Prices are down and mortgage rates remain at an all tiime low.  It does get a little chilly here in winter.  In January my wife and I go south for 5 weeks--something to look forward to after Christmas.
