Light rail in Sandy UT

My city of Sandy Utah enjoys the services of the Utah Transit Authority light rail system TRAX.

At Historic Sandy, we are a stop on the Blue Line (the oldest), easily linking to Red and Green lines with attendant bus services to allow the Salt Lake Valley to be easily accessible by public transport. Linking to FrontRunner takes you even further afield.

Today saw the opening of the City to Airport extension of the Green line. With this airport link, visitors can now take in the sights and delights of urban Utah, historic features and modern facilities. All good reasons to put Utah on your places to see. Utah is not just a state "somewhere out there, and somewhere up in the mountains". We are a friendly welcoming people.

At Sandy UT, I revel in the scenery of the mountains of the Wasatch Front, still with evident snow cover, as well as facilities offered by the City of Sandy.  Visitors, with a little time, can explore my city from any of the three Sandy TRAX stops.

(With apologies to Henry Lawson "The Roaring Days":)

Mighty (Sandy UT), with iron rails is tethered to the world.

Hi Larry.  The South is forever proposing light rail service, but it never comes to anything.  We just don't have the population density needed to make it work.   Too bad.  Mass transit is so much more efficient than cars.

Wayne - You never know what the future might hold.

Dianne - The Winter Olympics of 2002 got the Blue line under way; recent additions opened up the rest of the valley. It's a great way to see the Valley in winter.

Patricia - you are a true and reliable PR Department from a distance. Thanks for making my day ~ as usual. From your care for others you are always a "higher" person in my mind.

ps I was faced with a question recently: name a Texas town that does not contain the letter "S" : without hesitation Flower Mound, of course.
