Now here is an interesting subject (willpower) that has much history to consult with. We have centuries of data that clearly show mankind and its desires at work and also not at work. In all cases , we were found wanting. You see there is a little known dynamic that people have heard about but often do not stop to ponder because the thing being pondered would be in jeopardy if you did...I am speaking of the EGO and its pal...PRIDE
WE HAVE THE WORDS BUT NOT THE MUSIC
Mans best efforts pale and fail no matter what task is handed to them to perform. WHY? Because we are not operating from the eternal principals and using spirit and truth as our guides. Instead, we command and support as well as encourage and nurture that our wills be done and in the doing of our will, results will follow. There is some truth to that. Sweet words without a tune to sing them by is what we discover. Something is amiss
EVERYTHING IS ALLOWED...BUT DO YOU PROSPER FROM IT
The truth part is that you will reap what you sow. YES...But what are you sowing and how plays a very big part in the results arena. It is not what a person has as much as how they came to have it. Results alone cannot be the final math but motives too and ways to apply them. One can take their will and aim it at anything and succeed. Are we free to do that? Aren't there dos and don'ts that bind and guide us for our own good?
WILL WITHOUT PURPOSE?
The nature of every activity, game or organization is defined by the rules. In other words, the playing fields. Willpower has us believe that we can do anything we set our minds to do. But what is it you are doing and why? Purpose, meaning and regard to people, places and things plays a part in the doing and the outcomes.
WILLS WILLS EVERYWHERE
Many times we have taken our will and enforced it and while you can achieve and progress, people have a hard time accepting someone else's will being done when they would prefer their own will and way. Every time a person goes outside of themselves for an answer, they are subjecting themselves to other opinions, support mechanisms and dynamics all focused on their own selfish outcomes.
LET THE RIGHT WILL BE DONE
However when that same person goes within themselves seeking counsel from a higher inner source, the result is that their true destiny is stirred, then encouraged to come forth, releasing the persons portions and the power behind it all is pleased and becomes satisfied to see the right will and the right way prevail...We should join this Universal dynamic with a joy and a gladness
EAT DRINK AND BE MERRY...okay we know this obvious occurrence
If we knew what to do and how to go about it, well then our history is full of lies for it clearly records that we do not. In the doing of business, one can accomplish anything. But we are asked to consider the big picture by asking another question in succession...What did we really gain from it? You see if it was just to feed the body, ego and entertain us, this can and is done frequently. Anyone can do that
THE FORCE BEHIND IT ALL WANTS HIS WILL DONE
But if we honor that: within ourselves...that the powering our bodies, the fueling our minds and the sending of the necessary stimulus to our hearts all comes from a creator with a purpose and who wants us to play our assigned roles, then one must seek the origin of all wills and allow that to be done and here is the mystery and the paradox presented for your consideration....your will was created for one thing, for one purpose which was to make one choice in this short time allotted us...
To choose GOD....everything after that will be given unto you.....
Note: In regards to this book, its data and the points made in the chapter I read, the thinking is sound and the principals remain entertaining. In the world of whether this adds value or not to your temporal and material journey, one has to say that there is a value there. Thank you
