The VA Loan Limits in Colorado for the most part follow the conforming loan limits, which mean a maximum loan amount of $417,000. Unlikely FHA loans, the VA loan limit does include the VA Funding Fee, so that is an important thing to keep in mind.
However, in some counties, the VA Loan Limits in Colorado are higher. For example, in Boulder County, the limit is $443,750 in 2013. Below is a list of the "high balance" VA counties in Colorado:
Boulder $443,750
Lake $712,500
Pitkin $1,094,625
Routt $550,000
San Miguel $1,094,625
Summit $667,500
So if your VA eligibility only allows you to borrow up to $417,000, how can you borrow above $417,000 on a Colorado VA Loan? I explain that in the short video below!
