I was catching up on some reading up on the Canadian Real Estate Association’s website about the Canadian housing market, and I found some good news here are a couple of highlights from the article that stuck out to me:
The national home sales rose 2.4% from February to March.
The national average sale price rose 2.5% on a year-over year basis in March.

Switching from a national to a local topic, next weekend Saturday, April 27th, from 10-3 at Hyde Creek in Port Coquitlam is having their annual open house & fish release. This FREE event will teach you about salmon and their environment, view displays and take a hatchery tour or participate in a fun craft and the salmon fry release into the creek. In a couple weeks you can check out the “Friends of Coquitlam Public Library Society Book Sale” this event is happening Saturday, May 4th at the Coquitlam Public Library (1169 Pinetree Wy) with more than just books being offered, there are new and popular fictions & nonfiction books, ESL materials, collectable books, CDs, DVDs, vinyl records and more with some items starting as low as $0.50 with proceeds going towards programming for the library.
