Even a walkway needs a facelift

Hi everyone-There is one section of my garden in the back that the weed barrier than I put down wasn't worth anything and the weeds had taken over and I hadn't got around to fixing that yet. Mainly because I knew it was going to be a big job to get it done right so the weeds wouldn't come back. Well I don't have the time to do that at the moment as there are other more pressing things to do like plant what I ordered.

So I decided to put a landscaping bandaid on it til I get to it and also finish planting in the area which will create more mess before I am finished and put the stone on the walkways between the beds. Talk about curb appeal or a facelift. What a difference just doing this temporary fix did.

The before and after pic are different rows as I thought of the idea AFTER I put the weed barrier on that row down but all 4 rows look like the BEFORE pic. I got 3 rows left to do in the back. It just cleans this back area up so nice and will keep the weeds at bay until I get a chance to finish it and put the stone on the walkways.

The photos are so gorgeous Sharon. It looks like a nursery, and so neatly manicured at that. Keep up the good work.

Sharon - what beautiful gardens you have and the weed barrier is an excellent idea. With no sun and air the weeds will die on their own. Now I'm feeling anxious about getting my mulch down before weeds start sprouting up in my garden. Gardening is a lot of work, but it's a labor of love! Enjoy your day and thanks for sharing!

Thank you Patricia-It has already.

Kristin-Weeds can seem to grow everywhere

Roy-I will indeed.

Kristine-If you get weed barrier get the good stuff otherwise you will still have weeds. They are ferocious around here. It is a labor of love.
