I am pretty addicted to anything design and home decor related but for some reason, I really adore bedrooms–maybe because of my past obsession with my childhood bedroom? Either way, your master bedroom needs to be especially beautiful and fresh feeling when you get ready to sell. Using this bedroom from Studio Ten 25, here are the 5 key elements to creating a gorgeous bedroom that will photograph beautifully for you online listing photos.
A Beautiful Headboard
I’ve written about creating inexpensive headboards for Staging your house in the past. The great thing is, you don’t need to spend a lot to get a stunning result that will create an incredible focal point for your real estate listing. Here are a few other options for you to consider:
Classic Side Tables
I’m going to ask you to break up with your bedroom set! Bedside tables are a great start. They are small so could be stored easily and can be used in so many other places in your house. The good news, anything can serve as a side table if it is tall enough. A good rule of thumb is that it should fall somewhere around the same height as the bed. I like my nightstands taller than that but if you stick to that rule of thumb you will be in great shape. Notice in the inspiration picture that the bedside tables are dark wood–completely opposite from the headboard? Here are two examples of nightstands that are reasonably priced, very functional and could work with just about any bedroom furniture.
Stunning Lamps
Ok–you know that I am totally obsessed with lighting! I seriously want to banish the world of wimpy lamps once and for all! Create a super dramatic focal point by choosing some tall, fabulous lamps. Here are some that I am crazy about:
