Do You Give Concierge Type of Customer Service?

Do You Give Concierge Type of Customer Service?

It is fair to say that most of us give Good customer service....some maybe even Great customer Service!

The real question is.....do you give Concierge Type of Customer Service
to your Real Estate Clients?

I recently stopped at the Jack In the Box Drive Through near my office....

(I know ...I know ....not the best choice...but I was on the run...and it was close)

As I pulled up I expected to get the muffled barely
understandable voice to take my order....

Instead I got what I would call Concierge type of Customer Service!

Hello there....my name is Anaka....and I am here to take your order....go ahead and order when you are ready!

I ordered and she repeated my order very clearly ..... afterwards instead of the standard pull forward....she  said "thank you so much we really appreciate you."

WOW....not at all what I was expecting....

I got to the window to pay...and it wasn't Anaka....it was a gentleman...

He greeted me with a smile and a lot of sunshine...

"How are you doing today?   Your Total will be.......
Can I get you anything else today?

I very quickly got my order... and as I was getting ready to leave He said...

"We are glad that you stopped by today and
we will look forward to seeing you again"

And all with a smile....very clearly spoken.... and with a cheerful tone.

I am sure the Employees are scripted...
and it is some thing that location is trying....

I haven't went to other locations to see .....

But what a great feeling....and guess what ....

It didn't cost those employees or their owner any extra advertising dollars.....
but I would bet that they get a lot of repeat business...

I don't go there often....

But I will go there next time I need a pick me up....

I also plan to really work on giving more than is expected to my clients....

I know that I will feel better....and I bet they will too!!

Deborah. Our schedules don't give us the luxury of making the best meal choices .... Yep I drove thru McDonald's today. Yikes. It is so refreshing to run into a person who loves life and let's that shine through in their day to day interactions regardless of their job. Thanks for the reminder. Sometimes we get caught up in the details and forget to empathize with our clients and make them feel all full of sunshine like this person did with you. Btw, I referred a friend to you. She has some properties in Idaho to sell but I wasn't sure about the area and whether or not you work there. Hopefully Michelle called you. Have a great night.

Judith....that is what I thought...it doesn't take a bit more effort to take the extra time to make the client feel really special!!

John....I love my bank...I would say I get extra special customer service when I go there!

Patricia....you sure don't....and if they can do it....surely we can!!

Dorie....I know...it was free...and I bet that their work atmosphere has improved as well!

Cindy....if it is corporate directed....it is brilliant.   I really think that having that expectation of customer service would improve morale as well as just the general atmosphere of the employees!!

Belinda...it is true...we don't always rememeber it is the little things that our clients like!!   I did talk to Michelle yesterday and we got her all hooked up!   Thanks for having her call me.

Concierge service will really set companies apart, and will do exactly what those companies hope it will do - generate repeat business!  The same is true for those of us who focus on concierge type service for our clients - referrals referrals!

Deborah- came over from Pat's weekly post and also realized that I was not a subscriber!  I fixed that!  I love this because it's something we need to remind ourselves.... we do provide a service and need to treat each caller/client as a "guest".

I think service quality make a major difference in the perceived value of the client.  People like to be treated well and when they are, they tend to be loyal.

Deborah customer service is King in out business. Going that extra unexpected mile is what separates us from other agents. Clienjts appraciate it and in turn put out the word to their friends and neighbors

If it's something that chain is "trying out" - hooray for them!

I remember the last time I went through the McDonalds drive through. I'd been grocery shopping and just wanted a snack, but a candy bar didn't sound appealing. I drove across the street and ordered a 99 cent cheeseburger - and you'd have thought I just robbed the place. Talk about hostile service! They did NOT want to be bothered for 99 cents.

In contrast, Selkirk Hardware in Oldtown has service that always amazes me. It's a store I avoided for years because the help was surly. But now, after a change in management, you can't walk 10 feet into the store before someone asks if you need help. At least 6 people asked me that question when I stopped there yesterday. One lady who got interrupted by another customer while going to show me where to find something actually came and found me to see if I'd gotten what I needed.

I'm thinking that kind of service is the reason why their parking lot had 2 or 3 times more cars than the hardware store across the highway.

THanks Christopher....I learned it through the school of hard knocks!  LOL

Rebecca.....I think it is some thing we all need to constantly be aware of....

Bryan....we all do like to be treated well...even for little things....I think I spent a whole $2.00 that day ...yet I was treated as a preferred guest!

Helen and Larry....yes they do!!

Marte...I think that is why I was most impressed....I probably spent $2.00 but I sure was treated well.    The 99cent burgers remind me of my 88 year old cowboy buddy Bob.   He passed a couple of years ago....but those were his favorite!!!   I have a local hardware store that I like to shop in as well ....the prices are not higher for the most part and the customer service is really good!

Charita....it surely is!!!
