Yes - it is that time of year again. TIme to book your lawn (or other) tickets to Ravinia Festival concerts.

Cheap Trick, Natalie Cole, Journey and other performances - Ravinia has a lot of music for any taste.
There's nothing more relaxing than sitting out on the lawn listening to a group
(and perhaps watching them on the large display as well), and breaking open your picnic
basket of wine and cheese, and many other food items, putting up the foot rest on your lawn
chair and kicking back and relaxing under the trees and the stars.
Each year, I go to about 10-15 concerts, and I never get tired of it. For some of the concerts,
I take past clients and sometimes current clients - who have just moved to the area,
and have not experienced what Ravinia concerts have to offer. Enjoying music together
is a great bonding experience.
As a very good musician, I appreciate good musicianship - and music is in my blood.

A Little History: Ravinia Park Festival is proud to hold the title of the oldest outdoor music festival in North America and boasts of its world-class venue. Ravinia is situated on a 36 acre parkland and lawn. The unique setting allows for open seating and picnicking. Those attending the summer concerts bring complete picnics and dinners to shows, with lawn chairs, blankets, coolers full of foods of all kinds and candles, if you’re so inclined. It’s a great place to go as a family or a couple and don’t be shy about meeting others that are seated close by. Ravinia is one of the few concert venues in the country to allow full meals to be brought in and even allows alcoholic beverages and bottles of wine. You may want to bring an extra bottle of wine just to share with the new friends that you’ll make. If you don’t feel like packing a picnic (or don’t have time), the local grocery stores and specialty restaurants in and around Highland Park (home of Ravinia Park Festival) offer ready-to-eat “Ravinia picnics” for purchase.
Located on Chicago’s north shore, Ravinia along with its surrounding neighbors, Highland Park, Glencoe, Deerfield and Northbrook remains one of the most affluent and highly educated areas in the United States.
