Great Experience with a Competing Agent in Old Town, Alexandria

You know, I'm newer to the sales side of the real estate business; so, perhaps I haven't figured out how competitive it is out there, but regardless, I wanted to point out how great another agent from a competing brokerage was.  Her name?  Cherie Wilderotter, of McEnearney Realtors.  You can check her out here:  Of course, if you're planning on buying or selling a house in Alexandria City, I hope you give me a shot at it first :) ....

But back to the story...

I had a seller who was planning to relocate in the next year or so, and after getting her a contract on her condo, I needed to find her a rental unit.  This seller, and hey, maybe all of them are, was somewhat picky. She was selling her very high-end condo that she had improved over the years to perfection.  Rentals, as you already know, are never kept to the same standards.  Still, we searched, and we hunted, and we looked.

And in our search, we visited many units that were not indicative of their listings.  One had completely different interior photos.  One had a view of the parking lot; although, it boasted a water view.  One was not made available on the day it was supposed to be.  The list goes on.

And that's where Cherie comes into the story.  We found a really nice building at the north end of Old Town, on Slaters Lane: Marina Towers.  I had jogged past it on the water side a million times, but I never once bothered to set foot inside it.  Well, it fits the bill as far as niceness is concerned, but what really made the whole experience great was Cherie.  She did everything she said she was going to do; she provided measurements, extra forms, tips, improved access, etc.  She knew some of the questions that we hadn't asked, but that we should have been asking.  Overall, she did what it took to bring us to a successful contract.  And ... she taught me a few things along the way.  For that, I say "Thank you, Cherie!"

So ... if you ever need to sell, buy, or rent real estate in Old Town (and you can't get ahold of me), give Cherie a call...
