Have you ever walked across a wood deck that was springy or bouncy? That may not be your youthful step; it may be the early signs of a rotted wooden deck. Something to consider checking before someone gets hurt.
A structurally sound wood deck should not have a bounce to it, it should be solid. A bouncy deck may indicate deck boards that have rotted and in need of repair. As the wood rots the board gets thinner in strength. Imagine the bottom half of the board rotting, you are walking on a thin board.
