The highly anticipated Ka Malanai condos in Kailua are coming soon! Here is the latest announcement.....Estimated sales will begin this summer. I also took a picture last week from Kailua Road. Not the greatest pic, but it shows the construction site of the first of 6 buildings being built. The project has posted 4 floor plans so far. There are 2 bedroom floor plans, one 1287 sf and the other 1270 sf interior. Then there are 3 bedroom floor plans, one 1515 sf, and the other 1529 sf interior. Compared to the other condos in the area, these tend to be a little more roomy inside. They still haven't revealed HOA fees or list prices yet....... 

You have the choice of purchasing these condos independantly, directly with DR Horton when the lottery is announced, or be represented by a Realtor at no extra cost to you. If you would like me to assist you with this project, I will be happy to. Just notify me and I will keep you posted as to the progress. Whenever the time comes when the lottery becomes available, you will need to include me on your application as your Realtor representing you. Where will Ka Malanai be located?
A: 
Located along Kailua Road, Lanikai direction from Macy’s and Starbuck’s in downtown Kailua, and opposite the Kailua District Park.

A total of six four-story buildings, where the bottom floors are parking, and planned as three combinations of two buildings that together form a horseshoe shape, so that generous courtyards and landscaped areas are created in-between them.

How many homes will be built and the size of the home?

A:
153 condominium homes, each being single-story unit. One to three bedroom units, ranging in size from just under 800 to over 1,800 livable square feet (excluding lanais).

Will there be amenities? 

A:
Common area amenities will include the landscaped courtyards, barbeque and leisure areas, mail centers, parking areas and potential storage facilities.

What will prices be?

A: 
Prices will be established upon the commencement of formal selling efforts.  D.R. Horton sales agents will sell the homes, and we expect to extend typical outside broker courtesies.

Will there be any commercial retail or use?

No commercial/retail for public use will be developed on the property.

When will construction begin?

We are hopeful that we will be able to start construction later this year.  First homes would be available about 18 months from the point of construction begins.
