Posting Frustrations

By
Real Estate Agent with Prudential First Choice Realty

3 Months and 12 Days till the wee one!

How many people here post a blog when they really have a question that they need answered, OR when you are really trying to find out other people's opinions on certain topics? I know that I do!

I find it really frustrating when people post blogs on AR that are absolutely pointless.  They find information that they rip off of the internet and copy and paste it into a blog, JUST TO GET THE POINTS FOR A POST!  Please stop wasting the time of all the individuals who are on here trying to network and improve our business by getting opinions and real life situations from people who have lived it!  Go create your own webpage where you can send you own clients to read your "facts" about nothing relevant and stop wasting our time just so you can show up in the top five REALTORS® in your area under points!  Real people, with Real issues and Real questions about Real Estate belong here.  No one cares if you are number one in your area as far as blogging points.  We want Real blogs that we can respond to and create discussions about.

I am sorry about my rant.  I just get to sick of reading "facts" from other REALTORS® that aren't relevant or true in our area.  Or about blogs that have nothing to do with Real Estate!!!  I will open this blog to all rants and raves about this or similar topics.  If no comments are necessary, thank you for listening.

I find it frustrating when I blog a question and get little or no response.  I'm not looking for points just some answers or suggestions.  That said, I think it is okay to take a break once in a while with amusing stories or jokes that may be a bit 'off-topic.'  Considering there are 70,000+ members there is going to be info from all over not just your area.

Mandee...Is there a particular post of yours that you would like read?  Perhaps you've asked a question that I can try to answer.  At least I'll try.  I understand you are asking this in general but if there's anything specific I can help with let me know.

Take care,

Kathleen

P.S.  Not that it makes it easier, but it happens to all of us (or most of us...or a few of us...or me).

Jennifer- Thank you for your feedback.  My frustration is right there with you.

Kathleen-  Thank you for your help.  I would love comments on my two previous blogs about Real Time leads via Text messages and Internest Advertising.  I greatly appreciate any input you would have.

Michael-  I guess this blog posts my frustration about REALTORS in my area.  I am sorry to keep it so general.  I was trying to not point out anybody specific.  I just thought that people could relate on local REALTORS posting for points and for no other reason.

Sometimes the blogs are used as more of a chatroom than a true blog (not much we can do about that). I usually don't bother posting if I don't have something worthwhile to say. Unfortunately, its not really possible to write an informative peice thats of use to all people in all States, the laws simply vary. I'll keep an eye out for your future post.
