Villa Maggio was built in 1967 for $1.9 Million, at 70300 San Lozano in Mountain Center, Sinatra's estate is situated just off of Hwy 74, or the Palms to Pines Highway above El Paseo in Palm Desert.
The 10-acre estate features a main house with 3 bedrooms and 6 bathrooms, while the guest house has 3 bedrooms and 5 bathrooms. The pool house features his and hers saunas with over 6400sq.ft. of living space total. Designer, Ross Patton, also included a swimming pool, basketball and tennis court, 9 fireplaces and a helipad, for a quick commute back to Los Angeles!
Villa Maggio was named after Sinatra's character Private Angelo Maggio in the movie "From Here to Eternity". Personall, I think it would be incredible to stroll the grounds where Frank and his pals holed up in the desert...to sleep in the same room where he dreamed of Ava.
According to the listing agent, the home was donated to Loyola Marymount University, but in 1992 they sold it to private owners.
