Mansionization?

By
Real Estate Agent with Keller Williams

It is time to renew my real estate license, and I am surprised by what I don't know...like the term Mansionization??

Mansionization

A new trend of home remodeling and construction is emerging in older neighborhoods with small-to-medium-sized homes. In many of these neighborhoods, developers and homeowners are tearing down the existing homes and building larger, more extravagant ones. The process, called mansionization, is a response to incredible land costs. In many of the older, built-out communities in California, land is valued as high as $1 million per acre or more.

Let me see what else I don't know, Knowledge is always powerful and fullfilling!

I have heard of this going on, but I have not heard the term before.  Thanks for the great post.
