Using Video to Build Trust and Credibility

Video is one tool you can use to really make an impact in your online marketing efforts. Video can be done inexpensively with a big potential for increasing your bottom line.

In my blog, "Choosing the Right Virtual Assistant", I created a PowerPoint presentation and converted it to a video/slideshow on Brainshark where I could include my voice. In my blog, "Creating a Video to Look Super Hot", I created a 30-second slideshow/video using Animoto's free version. The response was so great that I decided to try their Pro Version. (You can see the result below.) Slideshare is yet another online service that can boost your online presence.

I'm not here to sell you software. However, now that video can be attached to almost any web page, the possibilities of using it as a marketing technique (in the same manner of television) is slowly but surely gaining ground. And, search engines love it!

Research shows that people will remember 10% of what they hear, 20% of what they read and more than 50% of what they see and hear together.

Video builds credibility and trust. It's kind of like having a live person talking about the benefits of doing business with them as opposed to something the potential client would read online.

As I look back on some of my most recent posts, I can see that video has been on my mind for awhile. And, I hope this post will get you thinking more about it and how you can effectively use it to market your business. I'd like to hear how you use video in your marketing efforts.

There are so many tools to help us keep track of all the activities we control.  It sounds as if you have found a good one.
