Cookeville Real Estate Market Accelerates in April 2013
Cookeville and the surrounding areas have something to celebrate as we wrap up the first quarter of the year. The real estate market has improved significantly and show no signs of slowing. Just how much celebrating should we do? Well, grab a glass of bubbly and give a toast to April homes sales up 23.17% over the same time last year!
These numbers include all the areas serviced by the Upper Cumberland Association of Realtors. This includes Cookeville, Baxter, Algood, Monterey, Gainesboro, Sparta, Livingston, Celina, Byrdstown, and many other smaller communities as well.
There were 157 homes sold in the month of April.
It currently takes an average of 166 days on the market for a home to sell.
There are a total of 1365 homes currently for sale in the Upper Cumberland.

Under $100k – 70 homes sold in April 2013
$100,001 – $200k – 63 homes sold in April 2013
$200,001 – $300k – 21 homes sold in April 2013
$300,001 – $400k – 3 homes sold in April 2013
$400,001 – $500k – 1 home sold in April 2013
Over $500k – 0 homes sold in April 2013
32 out of the 157 homes sold in April 2013 were bank owned foreclosures.
