For about 10 years now we have held monthly risk reduction meeting at our firm. Generally these meetings last right at 1 hour. The attendance at these meetings is usually at 95%+ . We try to design the meetings to be informative and useful in helping real estate agents stay out of trouble. Additionally this an ongoing effort to help provide the public with the best and most useful service possible, which we call premier service.
Just a few of the areas we cover at these monthly meetings are:
- Mineral issues
- Earnest money contract updates
- Financing concerns
- Client relations
- Ethical and Legal Issues
- Technology and the Internet
- Advertising, requirements
- Client and agent professional relationships and practices
- Property Insurance Issues
- Agency
- Home Service Protection Plans (Warranty)
Sometimes we bring in outside guest speakers including attorneys, mortgage loan reps, insurance reps, and others.
Additionally in order to provide better service to clients, we usually have a home warranty provider hold a separate risk training and general training on home service plans for new agents. These sessions are invaluable and occur once or twice a year.
We feel all of these meetings are an integral part to a full service real estate brokerage's training, and help insure better service to the public, higher ethical standards among our professionals, and result in a generally better informed team of agents.
Does your office provide similar on-going training ?
Have a great day!
