2008 VIRGINIA TECH FOOTBALL SCHEDULE

By
Real Estate Agent with Nest Realty

The 2008 Virginia Tech fall football schedule is out!

8/30    vs. East Carolina (Charlotte, NC)

9/6     Furman

9/13    Georgia Tech

9/20    at North Carolina

9/27    at Nebraska

10/4    Western Kentucky

10/18  at Boston College

10/25  at Florida State

11/6    Maryland

11/13  at Miami

11/22  Duke

11/29  Virginia

Once the season tickets go out in late July, the ticket office will offer any available single-game tickets to the general public on a first come, first serve basis.

If you have not signed up for season tickets this year, there are other ways to obtain tickets besides the typical Ebay format.

For away games, many of our opponents do not sell out their stadiums.  It is usually easy to get tickets from their ticket offices online as the VT away game allotment very often sells out.

Note that the ECU game this year is not being played in Greenville.  It will take place in Charlotte.

Spring game is 4/19/08 at 2pm.  Tickets are not necessary...admission is free.  Great time to practice tailgating!

For hotel reservations in Blacksburg....the hotels sell out quickly and many hotels in close proximity to VT have rooms blocked off for various events such as reunions and conferences.  It is usually much less expensive to reserve a room in Roanoke, Salem or Dublin.  If you are a risk taker, most Blacksburg hotels will release rooms about 24 hours prior to the game (those which were in a block that went unused or those that had canceled reservations).

In order to get season tickets to VT football and/or basketball, you must be a member of the Hokie Club.  The Hokie Club is the primary supporter of the Virginia Tech Athletic Association and funds numerous scholarships for VT athletes (for both revenue generating and non-revenue generating sports).  Membership to the Hokie Club is as little as $8.33/month for 12 months.  This membership not only grants you access to season tickets, but also gives you information and the ability to attend the many VT athlestic sponsored events in your area (such as Recruiting Events and Golf Tournaments).  For more information on joining the Virginia Tech Hokie Club, please contact me and I will be happy to give you all the information you need.

Tina, thanks for posting the schedule. I talk to my daugther every day but haven't asked about football. Games at VT are so much fun, I'm looking forward to fall.

Sorry - had the date of the spring game wrong...it is Saturday, 4/19 at 2pm.  The VT/ECU game that is being played in Charlotte is being considered a home game for VT and will be included in the season ticket package.

Of course here in Northern Virginia we know many Hokies and have the greatset respect for their enthusiastic support of VT. That is also true of UVA grads, Karen

Karen, the group moderator is a UVA alum and former athlete, therefore bleeds navy and orange!  Either that or he's still smarting from yet another Wahoo football loss to the Hokies (grumble, grumble)......

Wow - I had no idea anyone would actually comment on the VT schedule!  My business partner is a Wahoo and ever since I saw the 'Hoos for Hokies sign after our tragedy at Tech, I just can't dislike UVA!  We're all Virginians - that's all that matters.

Funny - my graphic word for this post is "paterno" - maybe it's a sign we should be taking out our frustrations on Penn State!!!!!!

Unfortunately Tech lost to ECU-I hope Frank Beamers decision to redshirt Tyrod Taylor works out. Let's go Hokies!
