Vermont Hard Cider Company, maker of Woodchuck Hard Cider, is constructing a new 100,000 square foot facility a half mile away from its present 62,000 square foot plant in Middlebury. The $30 million cidery opens in May 2014 and will include a post and beam visitor center offering tours, tastings and a gift shop.  Vermont Hard Cider Company plans on more than doubling its current production of 4 million cases of cider.  The new bottling line will handle an amazing 600 bottles per minute.  Vermont Hard Cider has grown from 42 employees in 2003 to 155 employees and expects to hire another 15-20 people once the new facility opens.  We are proud to have this company in our beautiful state of Vermont.
