Colby Cheese Days, a great event for lovers of Cheese and Funcolby

I have always enjoyed Cheese, especially since I grew up on a dairy farm where we produced the milk for a lot of cheese and could buy back a fair amount of it from the creamery where we sold our milk.

But then when I went to college and met a girl from a town with an exceptional type of cheese actually named after it, I got to meet some real Cheese Enthusiasts.

Since that time I have enjoyed the Food and Fun of this little town in Central Wisconsin.

colbyPut the third weekend of July on your calendars and make a special trip to Central Wisconsin for this event, and bring an appetite.

YES!!! I remember this as the event of the year, and it took almost that long to prepare for it.  My dad usually took a tractor to the tractor pull on Sunday.  So we had to be sure to get it cleaned and ready for showing.  I also recall the year I won a bicycle there.  I was very excited, but I had just gotten a new bike for my birthday a few weeks earlier, so I had to give my newly won bike to my younger brother.  It was still prety special.    Go out and enjoy some of these events, especially the free cheese!   YUM!
