Oh my! It is Strawberry Season in North Carolina and if you have never picked your own Strawberries you just don't know what you are missing! There are several locations around the Raleigh NC area that you can pick your own Strawberries and here is one of my personal favorites.
Vollmer Farm is located in Bunn NC and is truly a "spend a day" kinda place! Not only do they have fields of Strawberries they have a produce area with other goodies from the farm as well as a nice selection of homemade treats. The ice cream shop has some amazing frozen goodies available as well as desserts and other delectables. In addition to the strawberries you can find a few other "pick your own" fruits/veggies depending on the season.
