If you would like to Beat the Heat, put on your hiking gear and bring lots of water on May 31, 2013 to the Cave Creek Regional Park located at 37900 N Cave Creek Parkway. Join us at 7:00 to 8:30 am for a 3.5 mile hike through the upper Sonoran Desert. There will be tips on general fitness, hiking gear and information on hiking during the warm summer months. There will be a charge of $6.00 per vehicle, so pile in your friends and family for this exciting morning of adventure. For more information call 623.465.0431.
The desert is such a beautiful place and we live right here in the middle of it. Explore your surrounding area and community for great events like this and get involved. It is a great way to meet new neighbors and friends. It is also a great way to network and get to know the area. During the summer, make sure to take extra care with dressing for the weather and making sure to hydrate. Be cautious of children and pets in the heat and take special care with them.
